BPDWORLD was found and created by Joshua Cole in March 2004. The reasons are simple; I felt that there was nowhere near enough support for those with borderline personality disorder. I know this because I also have bpd. Life with bpd is difficult and things can be out of control. Everything started as a spur of the moment idea (I am very impulsive). Things were not going to well and I had no focus in life.
I've always had something within me that has wanted to help and support others, this has been reflected in the paid and unpaid work I have done. I want to help because I believe many people with mental health have suffered enough. Once the decision was made that I was going to do something, well things moved really quickly. I went from having no clue about what I wanted to do to what you see here today. I asked a friend to help me with my plans and she was a great help. Within 1 week of hard work BPDWORLD went live. I have very big plans for BPDWORLD and with any luck these will all work out and what you see here will one day be the best support area for sufferers of mental health nationally and maybe even internationally. We have already achieved so much.
In October 2005 BPDWORLD became the first registered charity for people with borderline personality disorder in the UK.

Information
Advice
BPDWORLD basic support is totally free to its users and if I have anything to do with it always will be. I understand that many people have enough to worry about without having to pay to receive support. All I ask is that you fight and try your best to get through this, we will do our bit to make sure the support and advice is there for you.
Take care always & never be afraid to ask for help,
Joshua Cole
