None of these drugs should be taken during preganancy. The first three months of pregnancy carry the greatest risk to the foetus for damage caused by medication. This is why all women of childbearing age should be on effective contraception whilst taking medication. If a woman would like to become pregancy, then it is very important for her to consult with her doctor, so that options can be discussed. If a woman becomes pregant while she is on medication, then she should tell her doctor immediately. Possible effects of medication on the developing baby may include damage to the heart, or abnormalities of facial or limb development. | |
