What do you think of BPD being known to some health professionals as the"Pain in the ass diagnosis"?

This is unfortunately a common perception among many health care professionals. It is a difficult and often emotional area to work in and may bring up many issues for the clients and the therapist. Misunderstanding is common as it is often hard to see past distressing, self harming behaviours. Staff may feel they don't have the necessary knowledge or understanding to know how to help.
